How do I qualify to be in the I-CEDAR program?
The following criteria must be met: (1) Over 18 years of age. (2) An Indigenous BC Resident — First Nation (status and non-status), Inuit, or Métis — with a new or existing business venture. If you have questions or are unsure if you qualify, please contact us.
How much does the I-CEDAR Program cost?
There is no tuition fee for participants. We are fortunate that the costs of the program are covered by the generous contributions of our program partners.
What does the I-CEDAR Program include?
The I-CEDAR Program is 14 weeks long and includes a dynamic curriculum that combines face-to-face instruction, mentorship and coaching with online learning. The in-class and online training days provide students with practical knowledge and theory. Mentorship and coaching is provided by educators, community members, and business owners to guide and assist students in making the next steps to launch and operate their business.
How does the I-CEDAR program operate?
The program is delivered online, 3 days a week (Schedule A: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; Schedule B: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), from 9 AM to 4 PM PST, for 14 weeks. This design takes advantage of the strengths of both in-person and digital learning spaces.
